Anna, this is brilliant, thank you. This should be sent to all newspapers and tv outlets so the derogatory name calling of ordinary citizens can stop.

Thank you, @SoBeIt🍄 .Certain people just have no idea of the severity of what they're saying. It's utterly false, utterly degrading and utterly ignorant.

Thank you very much, @SoBeIt🍄.

People really do need to read a few history books before they start saying, broadcasting or publishing such rot.

So important not to diminish the evil that the actual Nazis perpetrated and would have followed through on had they not been stopped 80 yeara ago - mass sterilisation and execution of all non-Aryan races, the "untermensch", those with hereditary illnesses or disabilities - to eventually repopulate the world with the master race. Pure evil.

To compare people who have a different political view to the left with such evil is totally wrong and diminishes the memory of so many decent people throughout the world who gave their lives to stop Hitler in his tracks.

I couldn't agree more. The evil of the Nazis and their plans and aims is unfathomable. Referring to people who have different political views from you as Nazis is reprehensible.

We gave Reform leaflets out at a recent by election and were called racist by an elderly white male conservative voter.

Oh Lorraine, that's awful. The Conservatives ought to know better. But then again their chairman recently called Farage and Reform UK Nazis.

It’s unbelievable the attack on them but it shows they are scared and we are winning.

Absolutely, Lorraine! 👍💪 It shows they're on the back foot.

The trolls are terrible. We recently had to remove our digital flyer for our Reform UK ladies’ lunch from Facebook due to trolls.

This is helpful, thanks Anna. I was reading the other day that Fascism might actually be better described as Corporatism, since it aims to put many private functions - like industry and railways - in the hands of the State alongside more traditional public functions like justice and education. In that sense, it is quite similar to the outlook of many socialists, past and present, the difference being that the latter want to abolish the nation state while the Fascists regard it as sacrosanct. We might hypothesise, in this context, that the greatest sin of parties like Reform (in the eyes of present day elites) is simply that they believe in preserving the nation state. This and nothing else makes them 'fascist' to those who believe in things like open borders and the supremacy of international courts.

Very good point about Corporatism and nationalising industries.

You're right. Some people seem very averse to Nationalism and the concept of a nation state. Clearly that can be negative when taken to extreme but there is also a healthy version, one we'd be wise to embrace in my view.

Yes indeed, Anna, I'd say that there are some people (generally of the more privileged classes) who are extremely allergic to the nation-state and view it as the source of all evil. We assume this is because of the Nazis (although the Nazis were driven more fundamentally by racism), but I think it goes even deeper than that to a hatred of our Judeo-Christian heritage. For, as many have observed, the nation-state really has its roots in the Bible and, specifically, in the journey of the children of Israel. From this point of view, we can also understand the hatred of those same people for modern-day Israel. In many ways, it is the best remaining example of the nation-state concept.

Well done! Very useful. This name-calling nonsense is so ‘kids playground’ isn’t it?

It absolutely is playground pettiness. They really need to focus on the important issues that really matter.

Thank you, Anna. This must have taken a lot of work and it is much appreciated. When these words were first thrown around like confetti at a wedding to silence people, I also revisited my history. All of these words should be used with great care as they carry deep and disturbing meanings. Words matter. It is the way we communicate and words have always been used by authoritarians to silence dissent and to try and shame people into compliant behaviour. We are seeing and, indeed, living this now. I have tried reasoning with people who throw these insults (often not knowing the meaning of the words) but I have found, like Shirley Valentine, I get more sense talking to a wall! We also have to admit, however strong we are, this constant barrage of insults does take its toll on our spirits because we are human. We do, however, have to stand up to it and I have found that being polite and using humour often silences these people. I also take a break from all of it at least one day per week to restore my equilibrium. Once again thank you for this as it is well researched and very well written. Just hold on to the fact that there are more decent people in our country than authoritarians and, in the end, we shall walk into the light again.

Thank you very much, Denise. I will be transparent, I did get some help from my AI assistant! But even so, it still took a long time to put together. I felt compelled to write this as I'm so sick of hearing this utter nonsense. I also want to have answers I can give people next time I find myself in that situation. Researching and writing this piece just confirmed to me how utterly ridiculous and incorrect all those accusations are.

As ever, thank you for sharing your wisdom on getting a balance as we deal with the opposition we find ourselves up against. It's important we protect and look after ourselves.

And also, thank you for the reminder that we're in the majority and hopefully these times we're living in won't be for ever. 🙏

The irony of all this name calling is that the Nazis were left wing. The full name of the Nazi Party was Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (German for 'National Socialist German Workers' Party'). In other words there’s no such thing as the “far right”. It was a narrative invented after WWII so the globalists could continue their communist agenda.
